Materials Generators:

Growing up, crossword puzzles were a way I entertained myself.  As a teacher, I am looking forward to utilizing this in my classroom.  I will use puzzles in many different ways.  From vocabulary words to end of the chapter summaries, this activity will be a fun way of learning.  It will also help me in testing my students to make sure they have understand the material that was presented.

Here is a linc to help you use this fun activity.

Testing and Grading Tools:

Brown describes that there are four types of integration.  These our levels are substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition.  "Each level is appropriate and we as teachers are encouraged to use them all" (Roblyer, 2016, p. 68).
The tool I am interested in learning more about is https://www.vocabtest.com/.
Students must understand the true meaning of vocabulary words to understand what they are reading.  This websites test the students knowledge in a fun way by allowing them to choose the correct word to fill in the blank.  They are given four words, one being the correct vocabulary word, the other three words are linked to the text but are incorrect.  By logging in, you as the teacher are able to see what each student made on their test/activity.
Using a rubric, the students will know exactly what they will be graded on.

Graphic Tools:

Graphic Tools are a very unique software tool.  As a Teacher, I will use tuxpaint.org
as a Brain Freeze moment.  Students throughout the day can use fun brain freezes to help their brain continue learning.  Using Tux Paint, the students can take a few minutes to draw, paint or utilize this app in a fun way.  After a few minutes of this software program, we will begin learning again.

Planning and Organizing Tools:

Organization is the key to good planning.  Students, parents and teachers all like it if a all the above are organized.  This website https://www.ptcfast.com/ helps all three of the above to stay on the same page.  You can also help students organize their subjects by using this website http://www.inspiration.com/Kidspiration.  As a visual learner, I would love using this website.  Using a graphic organizer will help all visual learners see what they are learning and apply it to their education.

Research and Reference Tools:

"Online Encyclopedia have come a long way in just a short amount of time" (Roblyer, 2016, p. 162).
This online website is used all over the world for students to research information in just a touch of a button.  Wikipedia is an online source that you can research information in different languages.  To look at it, here is a link https://www.wikipedia.org/. When you click on the link you are able to research and look up information in ten different languages.  Teaching younger students, I will be able to show them the way people communicate in different languages around the world.

  1. I think you did a terrific job at explaining all of your points! One thing that I did not think about when writing my blog was that when it comes to planning and organizing, this does not simply mean planning and being organized in our daily lives. It also means teaching our students to be organized in their thoughts and when mapping out different concepts. Our book explains a lot about concept mapping software, which I thought was a pretty unique way at keeping organized. Concept mapping is "designed to help people think through and explore ideas or topics" (Roblyer, 2016, pg. 160). By organizing our thoughts and concepts, we can create a clear outline for others.
