A little about me!





I am excited to be starting this Blog for my class.  I am a 2003 Graduate from The University of Alabama.  14 years later, I am back in school pursuing my Elementary Education Certification. 
Marrying my high school sweetheart, we currently reside in our hometown.  I am a mom of 2 boys.  School is a blessing and I am here to teach your child that learning can be so much fun.

Search Engines     Search engines are very important in today's society.  Our text book talks about 3 guidelines when teaching internet skills.  Teachers first should "make assignments that require a thoughtful search", "teach students to search with keywords", and finally "show them how they can use advanced search tools to narrow their searches" (Roblyer, 2016, p. 184). Materials Generators: Growing up, crossword puzzles were a way I entertained myself.  As a teacher, I am looking forward to utilizing this in my classroom.  I will use puzzles in many different ways.  From vocabulary words to end of the chapter summaries, this activity will be a fun way of learning.  It will also help me in testing my students to make sure they have understand the material that was presented.
